Past Future Present: The Mysterious Worlds

Have you ever been to space? What about time travelling? Still no? Well have no fear, because I am here to show my experience in time travelling!

As I fell out onto the middle of a futuristic world full of robots and advanced technology, not only did I realise something, I found out after getting a glimpse of where I was that I time travelled. Not only that, I also was not at home sleeping. I was somewhere far, far different. Somewhere any human being could not imagine. How did I get here? Well, long story short I was brought here by a time machine. As I tried to go back to it, it suddenly disappeared. I tried looking for another time machine, but after a while I gave up and knew that I was stuck.

After finding out the disappointing fact that I was stuck, I wanted to take my mind off things and see what is in this high tech world. After looking around for a bit, I found something of my interest. A robot pet store. As I entered it, the only living thing I saw were robots. Just robots. It felt very awkward having a bunch of robots staring at you suspiciously. I tried my best to ignore them and try to focus on why I came here.

as I walked to the owner of the store, he immediately asked me in a very strange voice “Are you from the past?” I did not know what to say, but knowing I was from the past, I said yes. Surprisingly, the person at the counter said “Are you really?” I did not know what he meant by “Are you really”, and I wanted this conversation to be short and quick, so I said yes again. What he said next was completely unexpected. He called out to the other robots, “Guys! We have a time traveller!” I did not know what was so special about time traveling. I mean, yes. In the present world time travelling would be a dream come true, but here I thought time travelling was normal. Suddenly, all the robots started rushing towards me, asking a million questions. “Are you really?” “How far did you time travel?” ‘Are you from a different planet?” “What was it like to time travel?” All these questions were just flooding into my ears and I could not handle it.

Quietly, I slipped out of there, hoping they wouldn’t notice. Once I got out of there, I saw an empty path, but at the end of it was a bright and mysterious light. I decided to follow the path. Eventually, I managed to get to the bright light. When I did get there, I tried touching the light, but as soon as I did, it turned into a closet. Being the curious type of person I am, I opened the closet and a bright light, brighter than I ever imagined a light to emerge from the closet. I covered my eyes with my arm and before I knew it, I was in a new world altogether. This time, it was not high tech or had robots everywhere. There were actually humans. ‘

At first I thought I was back at the present time, But as I looked around, things were not normal. Instead of you seeing people on their phones, riding the latest model car or riding a cab, I saw people evacuating, soldiers leaving for war and the military preparing to attack in the mountains. At first I thought I was in a dream and this was not real. But when I realised this was actually happening, I knew it was some sort of crisis. And there was only one time in all of history that had a time so chaotic as this one. World. War. 2. I thought I was losing it. I thought I was going crazy. But what was crazy enough for me not to believe is that this was not as accurate as what people would describe it as. They say it was really bad and thousands upon thousands of people died, but based on a first impression, It felt a trillion times worse. It was bad enough that I was in the time of WWII, what made it worse is that there were bomb explosions before I could process what was going on. While I was trying to take in what was happening, there was an explosion in the distance that was the loudest I had heard so far. I immediately knew I had to run as fast as I could.

After what seemed like forever, I was exhausted and luckily, the bombers weren't after me. I thought I could finally rest on the floor, but what came between that was when a person shouted “They’re coming! They’re coming fast!” I thought to myself “Who is coming? And where?” Before I could answer that question myself, I heard gunshots in the distance. My body was like “Yep. Now is the time to just run, run, run, run.” Half of me was telling me “You are tired. Just rest here” but the other part was telling me “Run. Your life's on the line! What are you doing!? Run!” I chose the most obvious one. To run. Since I was tired I was pretty much jogging and forgot that people wanting to kill me were behind. That thought gave me a sudden shock and I immediately changed my pace and ran faster. I did not know where to go but since it was an evacuation, I followed everyone else. I saw everyone running into a train. People were just flooding the train, elderly people getting squashed as people try to save their own lives, forgetting about others. I did not want to get squashed, but knowing that I had nowhere else to run, I ran into the train. Just as I thought I had made it out safely, a portal just came out of thin air and I ran straight into it.

I thought I was going to get teleported to a whole new world full of dangerous and weird things, but what really happened was surprising. Where the portal led me was to the present. I did not know it at first though. Since I ran straight through it, I crashed into a wall, fell over and then tumbled onto my bed. I was so tired that I would’ve fallen asleep if my head wouldn’t have just run into a wall like a bull. After a short while, my mum came in and asked, “Are you okay?” I said yes and immediately fell asleep after that amazing yet dangerous and weird adventure.
